Avengers || Turned · Y/n story by @jinora

The air was thick with the smell of smoke and ozone, the distant crackle of dying fires the only sound besides the low hum of the Quinjet's engines. The mission was over. The facility was silent behind them, a tomb of concrete and shattered steel.

Steve Rogers

Good work. Everyone stayed on task, everyone covered their partner, and we got the job done. Take a minute to catch your breath. Then we move out.

Tony Stark

already peeling off a damaged gauntlet, gives him a flat look Wow. Inspiring. Really felt the emotion in that one, Cap. I think I almost teared up.

Steve Rogers

sighs You complain when I give a speech.

Tony Stark

I complain when you give a bad speech.

Thor

lets out a booming laugh, Mjolnir resting easily in one hand I thought it was a fine speech! Brief and victorious. Much like the battle itself!

Tony Stark

looks at him You threw a truck.

Thor

It was an excellent truck.

Across from them, Bruce stood with a tablet in hand, remotely checking the team's vitals through the monitors built into their equipment. His eyes moved carefully across the readings, brow furrowing every few seconds before relaxing again.

Bruce Banner

Heart rates are coming down. Nothing immediately concerning. Clint, your shoulder is—

Clint Barton

immediately Mostly fine.

Natasha quietly sheathed one knife, then the other.

Natasha Romanoff

Your shoulder made a sound when you moved it.

Clint Barton

No, it didn't.

Natasha Romanoff

It absolutely did.

Bucky stood nearby with his arms crossed, looking entirely ready to leave. His expression was flat, impatient, and thoroughly over the entire experience.

Bucky Barnes

Can we go now?

Tony Stark

points at him Thank you. Finally, someone with a useful contribution.

Peter lingered a little apart from the others, mask off and hair damp with sweat. His eyes moved across the group as everyone talked, laughing faintly at Tony and Thor's argument. Then he went still.

Peter Parker

his eyes stay fixed on them …Y/N? You okay?
