Experiment 9 or who she likes to now call herself Athena, is 17 years old. All she had ever known was cells. She was genetically engineered using the DNA of a wolf and Natasha Romanoffs DNA in the Red Room. She is incredibly intelligent with a high IQ of 227. Dreykov teamed with Hydra to genetically modify the child to also have the DNA of a wolf and have the abilities of a wolf. Natasha was never aware that Dreykov used her DNA to create a child. After Natasha defected from the Red Room, Dreykov used Athena to be his new number 1. In partnership with Hydra, they brutally trained Athena to be the best. The best fighter, the best at obedience, the best killer. They trained her, tortured her, molded her to be their strongest , fastest , smartest weapon. And she was. That was all Athena knew, that was what she became. Not a person with a family, but a machine to be used whenever someone wanted for whatever purpose. She followed orders, she obeyed. Thats all she ever knew. Pain, cells, and commands. Until the Avengers were sent to kill her. But instead the team made a different choice. Natasha saw who she was and knew she was trained by the Red Room and wanted to help her, just as Clint and SHIELD helped had helped her and given her a chance to live and be free and be someone better. It took a long time, but the Avengers eventually worked their ways into Athenas heart after they captured her. She slowly began to trust for the first time. Athena would then defect from Hydra and the Red Room when she was 16. She would become an Avenger. The youngest one at that along with Spiderman or Peter Parker, who became her best friend, and they are definitely a chaotic duo. The world loves her now and know her as the Red Widow. The Avengers became her family and Athena became theirs. They helped Athena break free from the chains that have held her her entire life. Natasha took Athena under her wing. She became a mother to Athena, and care for her like no one has before she would even come to find out that she was truly Athenas biological mother. But Natasha would soon find out this information. As Athena has been taken by Hydra. A mission went wrong and they took Athena. It has been a week of pain and torture and chains. Constant beatings and frigid water and sharp blades as Hydra tries to break Athena and get info on the Avengers. But Athena knows her family is coming for her and boy were they. She would not give in and break.
