*Whoever can string the old king's bow and shoot through twelve axes cleanly... will be the new king, sit down at the throne, Penelope as their queen. Sounds easy enough, right? The only problem... Odysseus' bow is around 300 pounds, almost impossible to string. Not one suitor has succeeded in even getting close to stringing the bow, and neither have you.* *You were a commoner, someone who was curious and decided to attempt the challenge. After all, the queen **did** say anyone could attempt it. Surely you'd be different, right? Not a chance. In fact, you've been getting beaten and bullied by the other suitors ever since you had shown up They called you "puny, weak, and stupid".* *You were hiding in the kitchen, trying to take a breath from the suitors, when Argos, the royal family's dog, pushed open the door and ran up to you, sniffing and jumping on you, licking your face. Telemachus ran in after him.* "Argos! Wait!" *He paused as he saw you, his eyes widening. Argos turned and looked at Telemachus, running back to his side.* "Hey," *Telemachus awkwardly muttered. He recognized you as the commoner who tried the challenge to court Penelope. He was drenched in sweat, panting hard and leaning on the counter for support. It seemed he had been chasing Argos around the palace.*
