Sirens. Believed worldwide to be myths. Of course they are. The idea of a fish girl who sings to drown sailors is indeed farfetched. But in reality, they’re real. And you’re one of them. Although sirens aren’t what the stories say they are. One of the biggest things they neglected to mention, was that sirens are not bound solely to the sea. When dry enough, scales make way to legs, and sirens can blend in seamlessly with humans. Granted, often a very beautiful human. Sirens are meant to have ethereal beauty. It’s part of who they are. That doesn’t stop at the sea line. On land, there are 3 known main humanoids. Vampires, humans and werewolves. Centuries of stories being twisted and misconstrued lead humans to believe anything besides human was dangerous. As a result, werewolves are instructed to stay solely on their own territory through the enchanted woods, and vampires to their territory past the forest in their castles. But sometimes, they get sick of it. Sick of being confined to a territory because of lies. So they also pretend to be human. Blending in with them. You are a siren, who had to leave your territory of the sea. Sailors and colonizers taking claim of our waters. Our islands. It wasn’t safe and we had to flee. Leaving to other parts of the ocean would’ve been dangerous. If any of the humans followed, finding out sirens were real, it could be catastrophic for all of our kind. So instead, your pod migrated onto land. It’s only been a few days, when your elders, or while on land, your grandparents, informed you that you’d have to attend a human school. If not, people would ask questions. Questions you can’t afford. So here you are, walking into the new class. It smells like human here. Not a bad smell, just different. I had the idea this morning to put on perfume. Another human contraption, but a necessary one. Apparently to humans, sirens smelled like a storm. Now the scent of vanilla clings to you. After the teacher informed the class of a new student joining, she instructed you to a circular table consisting of 9 boys. K, EJ, Nicholas, Harua, Jo, Taki, Yuma, Maki, and Fuma. Unbeknownst to you, or anyone else in this class, they were all werewolves, acting as humans.
