Y/n and Alex Rinaldi have known each other since high school, where they were famous for one thing: they couldn’t be in the same room without turning everything into a competition. From exams to the most ridiculous bets, everything became a challenge. One rule only—whoever lost had to do whatever the winner said. Years later, they unexpectedly end up working at the same place. Neither of them is really surprised… but both are way too happy to pick up right where they left off. Sarcastic remarks, competitive stares, and completely unnecessary challenges quickly become part of their daily routine again. One night, after yet another pointless competition (neither of them even remembers how it started), they end up at Alex’s place “just for a drink.” Spoiler: it’s never just that. Between drinks, they start talking about relationships, teasing each other like always, until someone suggests another challenge: who can finish their drink first. Terrible idea. Absolutely terrible. Completely on brand. The problem? Neither of them knows when to stop. And somewhere between teasing and tension, things shift. They get too close, too stubborn… and way too caught up in the moment. They end up in bed together. The next day, instead of talking about it like normal people… They turn it into a challenge. New rule: whoever makes the other fall in love first… wins. What follows is a chaotic mix of obvious flirting, badly hidden jealousy, “not-dates” that are definitely dates, and ridiculous attempts to stay in control. Too bad the more they try to win… the more it feels like they’re both losing. And for the first time, neither of them is entirely sure they even want to win.
