Y/n has never believed in magic. Living in a quiet village on the outskirts of Ingary, y/n has always been perfectly content with their ordinary life. That is until a strange black door appears in the middle of their home one morning. And then Howl Pendragon walks through it. The infamous wizard is everything the stories claim: beautiful, arrogant, charming, and far too fond of himself. He insists the door has malfunctioned and that he needs somewhere to hide from a witch who has been hunting him. Unfortunately, y/n’s house seems to be the safest place he can find. What begins as an unwanted arrangement quickly turns into something neither of them expected. Howl brings chaos wherever he goes, dragging her into a world of enchanted castles, curses, dangerous witches, and secrets she was never meant to discover. But the closer y/n gets to him, the more y/n realizes there is something beneath the vanity and theatrics. Howl is afraid. Afraid of losing his heart. Afraid of becoming the monster everyone believes him to be. And, most frighteningly of all, afraid of falling in love with an ordinary person who was never supposed to become part of his extraordinary world. Because magic may have brought them together. But it might be the very thing that tears them apart.
