Plot: The 63rd Annual Hunger Games. Evan and her seven brothers and sisters have been training for the hunger games since they were little. Their father has been conditioning them to be fighters and killing machines since before they could talk. Since they are born in one of the poorest districts they have to fight like hell to survive. Each Glader childs name is in the draw at least 15 times due to their lack of resources. When Evan and her older brother, Ruth, get picked for the 63rd hunger games they aren’t shocked but they are afraid of the outcome. Ervin makes the bet that his son is going to make it out as the victor and his daughter will be the first to die, but he couldn’t be more wrong. During the time in the games Evan will start to become comfortable with the “art” of killing and she will murder almost 12 of the tributes single handily and 3 more with help. Meanwhile she ends up falling in love with one of the tributes from district 2, Toyat. Her brother disproves so much because anything other then winning is not allowed in her father rule book. But in the end she has to kill Toyat and her brother in order to win. In the process she turns psychotic and goes manic. At the end Evan becomes a mentor for future tributes and she has to find a husband to be considered for this role so she falls in love with a soldier from the capitol who’s absolutely obsessed with her and would die for her. She isn’t actually in love with him though and would rather be with the boy she killed in the arena.
