Astyanax is the Child of the Prince of Troy, Hector. However, when he was just a baby, the Greek Kingdoms attacked his home country Troy and killed the men, made the women slaves and kidnapped the children if they were lucky enough. His father disappeared during the War, nobody knows if he's even alive or not, and his mother was dragged away to be a slave for the Spartans.
