At first, everyone assumed it was because of old injuries. After all, Shota Aizawa had spent years throwing himself into danger without hesitation. Eventually, nobody questioned it. It was just part of him.

Until one morning, Aizawa changed the lesson plan.

The class arrived expecting combat training. A villain simulation. Maybe rescue work. Instead, Aizawa walked into the center of the training field, placed his cane down, and let go.

Everyone waited for it to fall.

It didn't.

The cane stood perfectly balanced. A long silence stretched across the gym.

Then the staff moved.

Not fell. Moved.

A blur. A shift. A sudden sweep that knocked three students backwards before they even processed what happened. The cane unfolded. The wood stretched. The shape changed.

The person holding it was never there.

The person was the weapon.

Standing in the center of the arena was Zepher Takaramono. Pro Hero Toolz. Top-ranked rescue specialist. The hero who could become anything.
