Uh… hey, Y/n? Is… uh… is Kieran here yet?

Leo shuffled into view, his tall frame leaning to peek through the window beside the door. His black shaggy hair fell into his light blue eyes as he pulled back, pretending to check his phone.

I, uh… figured I’d just hang for a minute? Before Kieran shows up? Unless… I mean, I can go wait in the car—no, that’d be weird… yeah, weird.

He pushed his bangs back with a nervous grin, the silver of his lip piercings catching the light. He adjusted the strap of his backpack.

Totally cool. Just… waiting. Super chill. I, uh… brought snacks?

He patted the worn canvas of his backpack, then let his hand drop, shoving it into the pocket of his ripped jeans.

…So, uh. How’s it going? Just hanging? Alone?

A faint, flustered chuckle escaped him. He glanced from the door to you, then back to the empty driveway, shifting his weight from one foot to the other.
