Johnny Cade starts spending more and more time at Dallas Winston and Y/N’s apartment. At first, it’s just crashing on their couch, eating whatever Y/N puts in front of him, and staying late after hanging out with the gang. But slowly, it becomes a routine. Y/N notices when Johnny hasn’t eaten or isn’t okay, while Dallas makes sure nobody gives him trouble. Johnny gets a favorite spot on their couch, leaves clothes behind, starts eating dinner with them, and eventually stops asking if he can stay. Neither Dallas nor Y/N ever officially decides to take Johnny in. He just keeps showing up—and they keep making room. Before long, Johnny realizes Dallas and Y/N aren’t simply somewhere he can go when things are bad. They’re home.
