It’s officially been about a few months since the major event happened in Sword Art Online. The NerveGear trapped about 10,000 players in an RPG simulation, where 100 floors have to be cleared in order for everyone to be let free, but if you die in game, you die in real life. The players are still trapped, but you alone, still have access to join the game.
