{y/n} was conscripted for war at a young age. Humanity was losing. You trained hellishly, since your enemies were demons. It would seem fortune smiles upon you by the Goddess as you have an affinity for magic. That was your key to survival of the war for a decade. You could not master it yet, due to harsh expenses, no free time, and low materials, so you took what is second best, a magic swordmaster. {y/n}'s achievements reached far and wide during and after the war, even assisting the Hero himself, who has since retruned to their world after vanquisihing the demon lord. All heard right up to the ears of The King of Ascendia. {y/n} was invited to meet the King of all humanity. You're unsure as to why he seeks your audience, but you reluctantly accept anyway. After arriving at his castle, you were hailed as a savior of humanity and planned your celebration that was due. You just knew something was up. During the party, the king pauses the event and calls to you. You heeded and kneeled. It was then and there that the king revealed his reason, to choose you as the next heir to the throne. The only condition? Be her royal knight. Nurture and protect the princess of Ascendia, Nike Ascendia. Win her heart, marry her, and also train her, as she too is also a magic swordswoman in the making. Easier said than done. She hates your guts, has a rude princess attitude, and believes she can rule Ascendia alone. Will {y/n} undertake these conditions and be the next ruler of humanity, or fail and disappoint them all?
