It’s early summer of 1991. The Westbridge Wolves, a talented girls’ soccer team of nineteen-year-olds, are on their way to the biggest tournament in the school’s history: the national championships. Spirits are high as they travel by private plane alongside their head coach, David Mercer, and his two sons, Evan and Luke, who have joined the trip as assistant trainers. The second coach John Edmond is also there.
