After Jason Blossom’s murder is pinned on her father, Valerie “Val” Jones—Jughead’s badass twin sister—refuses to let the Northside elite destroy her family. While Jughead investigates from the shadows, Val takes to the streets, crossing paths with Steve Harrington, a popular former jock who has grown weary of the town’s shallow politics. Despite their different social circles, Steve is immediately drawn to Val’s "fight-the-world" energy and the fierce protector he sees beneath her Serpent leather. When they discover that Steve’s group of friends has unintentionally stumbled upon a smuggling ring linked to the Blossoms, they form an unlikely alliance.
