Lucía Salazar has spent her entire life learning what it means to be a witch. Raised by her aunt after losing her parents, she was taught advanced magic from childhood while her uncle—and a member of the Salvatore family—trained her to fight. Now, at the request of her aunt, Lucía arrives in Mystic Falls to meet Bonnie Bennett, a powerful young witch who could use someone who understands the weight of magic. Mystic Falls is full of vampires, werewolves, witches, secrets, and people who are much more complicated than they appear. Lucía knows magic. She knows how to fight. What she doesn’t know is what will happen when she finally gets to choose her own path. And in Mystic Falls, one choice can change everything.
