A shy Gryffindor first year becomes the constant target of Fred and George Weasley’s pranks until one rainy night leaves her locked out of Gryffindor Tower alone after curfew. Wandering the castle upset and trying to avoid Filch, she accidentally ends up near the Slytherin dungeons — where a group of Slytherins discover the tiny first year crying outside their common room. Instead of mocking her, they take her in. What begins as reluctant pity slowly turns into fierce protectiveness as the Slytherins realise the lonely little Gryffindor feels safer with snakes than lions.
