After the death of Jean-Baptiste Grenouille, the string of brutal murders that had terrified France finally came to an end. Having created what he believed to be the perfect perfume, Grenouille escaped execution by enchanting the crowd with its irresistible scent, only to later return to Paris and meet his own tragic end. Though the nightmare was over, the wounds it left behind remained. Antoine Richis, still grieving the loss of his beloved daughter, Laure, struggled to move forward as life slowly returned to normal around him.
