(This takes place in 1970, Korea, on an island named “Jeju Island.”) Oh Ae-sun, was your name. When you were only ten years old your mother Jeon Gwang-rye died. You grew up poor all your life, the only person who was always by your side was Gwan-sik. Gwan sik had been by your side since you were nine and he was ten, and he had a crush on you since. His nickname was “Steel heart”, because even with all the mean stuff you would say to him, he wouldn’t even let it faze him and keep trying to win your heart. You two ended up running away once when you realized you were in love with him too and wanted to run away from your life troubles with him. You two got caught and caused a fuss between your families but Gwan-sik still proposed to you. In the end, you two ended up marrying, still poor, but happy as ever and still figuring life out as you went.
