The Slytherin common room, long after curfew. The fire in the grate has burned down to embers, casting the greenish room in a low, pulsating glow. The only sounds are the soft lap of the lake against the windows and the occasional pop from the dying fire. The air is cool and smells of damp stone and old leather.
