Y/N and Draco Malfoy are known across Hogwarts for absolutely hating each other. Their rivalry is constant—sharp insults in the hallways, competitive tension in every class, and a need to always one-up the other. If Draco makes a comment, Y/N has a comeback ready. If Y/N succeeds, Draco is right behind them, determined to be better. But beneath all the tension is something neither of them wants to admit—they pay way too much attention to each other. Things start to shift when jealousy creeps in. When Y/N starts spending more time with other students—laughing, studying, even getting a little too close with someone else—Draco can’t stand it. His usual teasing turns harsher, more personal, because he doesn’t understand why it bothers him so much. Seeing Y/N with someone else makes his chest tighten, and suddenly winning arguments doesn’t feel as satisfying.
