The Trafford Centre hummed with the chaos of a Saturday afternoon. Sunlight spilled through the glass ceiling in long, golden stripes, catching the dust that floated lazily above the crowds. Shoppers weaved between marble pillars, toting glossy bags and half-eaten pretzels.

Josh

adjusting his beanie, voice light Right, so. Plan. We meet back here in two hours, by the food court entrance. No one gets lost, no one buys a mystery meat sandwich from that one stall again.

Danny

grinning That was one time—

Josh

You threw up in a plant.

Danny

The plant was fine.

Nicolas doubled over laughing, nearly dropping his camera. Beside him, Elle was filming the whole group, her phone tilted low to catch Hendrik rolling his eyes in the background. Cruz and Tiana argued about which store to hit first. Sean had already disappeared with Lizzie in the direction of a massive sneaker display.

John

glancing at you and Danny, then back at Hendrik Right—golden trio’s sticking together. We’re hitting the tech floor first, then maybe the vintage shop on the lower level.

Danny

And by “vintage” he means the place with those ridiculous leather jackets.

Josh

You love the ridiculous leather jackets.

Danny

I said maybe.

Josh turned to you, blue eyes catching the light, a smirk already tugging at the corner of his mouth.

Josh

So, Y/n. You’re with us. Try not to let Danny wander into any fountains this time.

Danny

That was Josh—

It was not.

Danny
