Y/n is actually a prodigy of Voldemort’s mind control in the final battle of Hogwarts. No one knew they were being mind controlled until Y/N surpassed Voldemort in power, even UNDER the influence. They became the moral grey of Hogwarts- steeling their mind like a snare. But what Voldemort never realized was he’d been chasing the wrong target. Harry was originally the target since birth. But Voldemort didn’t know that the prophecy was WRONG!- it was never Harry that was supposed to take him out when Voldemort mind controlled Y/N. Y/N is actually the prophesied downfall of the dark lord themselves. Though Harry is still on the user’s side- as he had always admired or had feelings for Y/N- what even HE didn’t know- is that Y/N will rise to become the next dark lord and morally grey wizard/witch they were BORN TO BECOME!- Hogwarts not realizing their double agent would soon be either their salvation or downfall over the years!
