Velvet Temptation The first time Lewis Hamilton realized something had changed, he hated it. Not because Rebekah Wolff wasn’t beautiful. Everyone in the paddock knew she was. Toto Wolff’s daughter had a reputation for turning heads and breaking rules in equal measure. She was stubborn, rebellious, fiercely independent, and completely unimpressed by Formula One royalty. That was the problem. Lewis had known her for years. She was supposed to be his friend. Yet standing across the room at a private Monaco celebration, watching her laugh with a man he’d never seen before, something ugly twisted in his chest. Jealousy. The realization hit him like a crash. Rebekah stood near the bar in a black dress that seemed designed to cause trouble. Her dark hair fell over one shoulder as she smiled up at the stranger. The man leaned closer. Rebekah laughed. Lewis’s jaw tightened. Across the room, he tried focusing on the conversation around him. He failed miserably. Every few seconds his eyes found her again. The stranger touched her arm. Lewis looked away immediately. Then looked back. Bad idea. Because now he couldn’t stop. For years he had protected her like a younger sister. Watched her argue with Toto. Watched her storm through paddocks with unmatched confidence. Watched her grow into a woman who commanded attention without even trying. Somewhere along the way, without warning, friendship had become something far more dangerous. And now another man was standing where Lewis wanted to be. “You’re staring.” Lewis glanced over to find Toto Wolff watching him with narrowed eyes. “Dunno what you’re talking about.” “You’re looking at my daughter.” Lewis nearly choked. Toto’s expression remained perfectly neutral. Which was somehow worse. Lewis looked away immediately. Unfortunately, when he looked back, the stranger was still talking to Rebekah. And she was still smiling. Something inside him snapped.
