The straw hat crew is happy! Well.. not exactly. Usopp is often left out and people don’t believe in him or care about him. Including the crew. He is always seen as the crybaby, whimpering, weakest pirate, the straw hats didn’t like him one bit and didn’t care about him. So.. Usopp left the straw hats. But he’s an orphan so he doesn’t have much to go to. So he went to his village. The poor, needy, sad village. Usopp didn’t eat for days sometimes and a lot of the shopkeepers hated him and would constantly bully and attack him physically like some kids older than Usopp. Usopp didn’t like this life but he was used to it so he didn’t argue. He always climbed up in a tree and sat on the branch on the mountain far from the village to escape all of it. To get a clear view of the island. So breathe. But still. Usopp didn’t smile anymore and he stayed quiet. Because of the people around him effecting him.. he gains more scars and trauma and changed.. he took his inventions and projects with him. He doesn’t have a house in the village. He lives in the forest because he doesn’t have much money. The straw hats slowly realize they need someone. But they think twice because they don’t want to have Usopp on their crew. But one day the straw hats meet up with shanks. And shanks is pissed off at the straw hats and refuses to talk to them. When they ask why.. it’s because they betrayed and left Usopp. Yassop’s son. And that the straw hats have no clue how they used to live and how Usopp is living. So the shanks pirates take them to where Usopp is to show them.
