The morning sun slanted through the windows of Class 1-A’s homeroom, painting the rows of desks in warm stripes. The low hum of chatter filled the space—Mina Ashido was animatedly recounting her weekend to a half-listening Denki Kaminari, while Tenya Iida chopped the air, lecturing a yawning Minoru Mineta about proper desk organization.

Settle down. We have an administrative note before homeroom begins.

The chatter died to a murmur. Izuku Midoriya’s head snapped up, his hand already twitching toward his hero analysis notebook. Katsuki Bakugou slouched lower in his seat, a scowl etched on his face.

We’re getting a new student. Transferring in late due to… special circumstances.

A ripple of interest went through the room. Mina’s pink eyes went wide.

Fumikage Tokoyami, from his shadowy corner, gave a slow, solemn nod. Dark Shadow peeked over his shoulder, chirping a quiet, “New friend!”
