Marian Taylor and Y/N Anderson were on opposite sides of Gilded Age high society. Marian comes from an old money family and runs with a gang of arrogant young old money heirs, while Y/N hails from and runs with a parallel collection of new money society members. But after two meetings—a group altercation where Marian catches feelings, and a ball where Y/N begins to reciprocate—the tension takes on a different quality beyond mere rivalry.
