Murder was something the Avengers were used to in one way or another, they had all dealt with their share of questionable missions where someone either got murdered, or in some cases were murdered by their own hand. So yeah, to say they were used to murder was an understatement. But what happens when S.H.I.E.L.D. has to take on a case dealing with a murdered navy seal, who also happened to be heavily involved in Hydra? And what happens when NCIS has to be brought in?
