Y/n is the louder one. She has everything Elliot has—outgoing, funny, warm, social, confident, always ready to talk—but she turns the volume all the way up. She laughs harder, talks more, says exactly what she’s thinking, and can walk into a room full of strangers and somehow leave knowing everybody. Elliot is used to being the one bringing energy into a room, until Noelle shows up and somehow manages to be even more. They start as two people who genuinely cannot stop arguing. Then the arguments become jokes. The jokes become an everyday thing. And eventually, without either of them realizing when it happened, they become best friends. The problem? Elliot already has a girlfriend, Sarah, and Sarah isn’t exactly thrilled about how naturally Y/n and Elliot click. Y/n isn’t trying to take anybody’s place. She’s just being herself—and somehow, that’s enough to make everything complicated.
