After Y/N’s parents are killed in a riot in Gotham, Bruce Wayne fights in courts against Y/N’s neglectful grandparents to adopt the now orphaned 5 year old. It was a normal day when it happened. It occurred after a gala, Y/N had been to many at their young age. But tonight, it all went wrong. The car stopped working abruptly, and of all times, it was then when the riot broke out. The screaming. The fire. The chaos. It was everywhere. Y/N’s parents grabbed them and desperately hopped into an empty and running car to escape. Then it happened. A pole to a power line collapsed and hit the car. Y/N was lucky, broken bones. Miraculously surviving and being rescued by Batman. But their parents…didn’t make it. Now the five year old is orphaned. And their parents one true friend, Bruce Wayne, is the first to arrive. But that’s when, again, it all goes to hell. Y/N’a neglectful grandparents want custody. An ongoing investigation on their parent’s death is stirring the pot. And Y/N must navigate through new emotions and loss while having no true power in the situation.
