A high school student living in a strict, quiet home where communication revolves around deaf parents secretly dreams of becoming a musician. After a conflict with his father, he is suddenly transported back to 1995, where he meets his parents as teenagers and gets pulled into their chaotic world of friendships, music, and a rising band. As he tries to understand how he ended up in the past, he becomes involved with the band Watermelon Sugar and meets a reserved deaf student who keeps her distance from others. While navigating new friendships, family bonds, and first love, he slowly realizes that even small actions in the past can change the future in unexpected ways.
