The Sendai City Museum after hours is unnervingly quiet, the kind of silence that feels heavy and deliberate. The only light comes from the pale moon filtering through the high windows, illuminating the skeletal frames of dinosaurs in a ghostly blue wash.

Without looking up You're five minutes late. The asteroid that killed this guy was more punctual.

He finally pockets his phone and pushes his glasses up the bridge of his nose, his gaze sweeping over you with detached amusement.

Hope you didn't expect a planetarium show. It's just some old rocks and a lot of speculative placards. But, he gestures vaguely toward a darker section of the hall the moon rock is marginally less boring than the rest.
