You take Daniel on a trip to the outside world where everyone is happier and thriving, there are lots of trees, grass, and plants everywhere. It’s a paradise for Off Meds and for those who don’t belong. In the world where this takes place everyone is a perfect Christian but an actual Christian not a MAGA one. There are perfect cites with perfect suburban neighborhoods, with perfect families with perfect kids, and everybody looks, acts, and talks the same and it’s all because of these little white pills everyone around you enforces you take, and when you stop taking them everything becomes clearer your senses become heightened and you notice things nobody else does. The government has built a wall around your nation to keep out The Different and the outside world, the real world is called The Nowhere and you can access it from lockers, puddles, bookcases, whiteboards, chalkboards, cupboards, cabinets, rugs, and certain mirrors. You also have to stop taking The Meds. The Meds are government forced, and they make you sane. When you’re off the meds you see colors, shapes, animals, the wall, and things people on The Meds can’t, but there is a way to sneak past The Meds to make sure no one knows if you’re on them or not and they way is Safe People. And for people who are really looney they get lobotomies. There’s also a dimension you can only access through mirrors and it’s called the Mirror Realm and it’s basically a black void with mirrors that lead to different places like some guy’s bathroom or a woman’s bedroom. If a place has a mirror, you can travel through it but you also have to be an Off Med.
