A shadow fell across the bed. A young man leaned over her, white hair shaggy and spiked with black tips matted at the ends, crimson eyes sharp and unreadable in the dim room. His arms were wrapped in bandages up to the elbows, gloved fingers resting on the edge of the mattress.

tilts his head y'know, you've been out for two days. had me thinkin' you were gonna sleep forever. a pause, his voice dropping and i was starting to get tired of talkin' to zanka.

He straightened, grabbing a glass of water from the bedside table and holding it out to her.
