The story begins in Los Angeles, California, where the Whitfield family reunites for Christmas at their childhood home. Ma’Dere and Quentin Whitfield Sr. are the parents of Quentin Jr., Lisa, Kelli, Claude, Baby, and Melanie. Lisa is married to Michael, Kelli is married to Gerald, and Melanie arrives with her boyfriend, Devin. Ma’Dere wants everyone together for a peaceful Christmas, but the reunion immediately brings old family conflicts back to the surface.
