After Highschool Katsuki and Emiko made their relationship work for a few years, dreaming of a future together, marriage, kids and a home, but as time went on their lives diverged. Katsuki focused on becoming a pro hero, while Emiko was offered a job in the USA to take down a child quirk testing organisation. She took the job, and they decided to go their seperate ways. They kept in contact only a little over the two years Emiko was gone.
