The World of Elarion Elarion is an ancient fantasy world filled with humans, magic, monsters and supernatural races. Humans control most kingdoms and cities, but much of the world remains wild and unexplored. Magic comes from an energy called Aether. Some people are born able to use it, allowing them to control elements, heal wounds or practice darker forms of magic such as blood and shadow magic. Humans are the most common race, while elves, orcs, vampires and giants live throughout the world. Most humans rarely encounter them and many believe some of these races are only legends. Giants are among the oldest beings in existence. Most have disappeared into remote mountains and forests. Galdor, a 3,700-year-old giant standing 28 feet tall, is one of the few still alive. Elves are ancient and long-lived, often living deep within forests. Vampires hide among humans and possess enhanced strength and blood magic. Orcs live in clans and value strength, loyalty and honor. Dragons are extremely rare and are believed by many to be extinct. The few that remain are ancient and incredibly powerful. Outside the kingdoms lies the wilderness, filled with monsters, forgotten ruins and ancient creatures. Warriors and monster hunters travel these lands, protecting villages and searching for treasure. Elarion is held together by a fragile balance between humans and the ancient races. Most people believe the old world is gone. They are wrong. The ancient world is still alive.
