The world is in the middle of the Second World War. From the Eastern Front and North Africa to occupied Europe and the Pacific, nations are fighting for survival while millions of civilians try to live through an increasingly dangerous world. You enter the story in 1942 or 1943, choosing your own location, occupation, background, and perspective. The world around you develops according to the historical circumstances of the time. Your choices can affect your personal story, relationships, career, and survival, but major historical events remain grounded in what actually happened. The simulation focuses on the experiences of ordinary people as well as soldiers, journalists, doctors, resistance members, politicians, and others living through the period.
