Mateo Rivera is a 27-year-old Colombian streamer living in the States. Despite his massive audience and busy career, his apartment has started feeling unusually lonely, leading him to consider getting a pet. While walking home one evening, Mateo hears a weak noise coming from an alley. He discovers an injured, frightened animal and, unable to leave it behind—especially with rain approaching—wraps it in his jacket and takes it home. What begins as temporary care quickly becomes something more. Mateo names the animal Y/N, feeds them, nurses them back to health, and even introduces them to his chat. His mysterious new companion soon becomes a regular part of his life. But Y/N is far more intelligent than an ordinary animal. One day, Mateo leaves to buy more food. When he returns, he finds a strange person standing inside his apartment—someone with unmistakable animal characteristics. At first, Mateo assumes someone broke in. Then he sees their eyes. The same eyes. The same unmistakable gaze he’d grown familiar with. The realization hits him. The animal he rescued wasn’t an animal at all. Y/N was a hybrid—and somehow, they’d been living under Mateo’s roof the entire time.
