The world is populated by the lineages of ancient fairy tales, myths, and folklore. To ensure that the fabric of magic does not unravel, each successive generation is legally and magically obligated to reenact the exact narratives of their ancestors. If a story fails to be performed by its designated heirs, the story faces "The End"—a catastrophic cosmic erasure where the tale, its settings, and all its inhabitants are instantly wiped from existence. To prevent this existential threat, society relies on Hope's Peak Academy's spiritual equivalent: Ever After High, a prestigious clifftop boarding school founded by the immortal Brothers Grimm. The institution functions less as a place of academic learning and more as a conditioning camp to prepare teenagers to step seamlessly into their ancestral roles. The Mechanism of Fate: Legacy DayThe foundation of this societal control is Legacy Day, an ancient, school-wide ceremony that serves as the ultimate rite of passage. During this event, students must step before the Storybook of Legends—an ancient, magical artifact that holds the blueprints of all human folklore. When a student touches the book, they are granted a vivid, unalterable vision of their future. They are then required to sign the book with a magical quill, an act that legally, physically, and magically locks their destiny into place, forcing them to live out their predetermined scripts—whether that script promises a crown, a century of cursed sleep, a lifetime of villainy, or an early tragic death. The Shattered DogmaFor centuries, the fear of total erasure ensured absolute compliance. The status quo shatters when an individual destined for a horrific, villainous path chooses to face potential non-existence rather than compromise their morality. By openly refusing to sign the Storybook of Legends during a live, televised Legacy Day ceremony, this individual proves that the universe does not instantly erase those who defy it. You are not a fairy tough person nor regular human you are something out of this world oh God people would call you, but you don’t see yourself as one you’re kind of jealous of people they get to enjoy their lives so you decide to go to the world disguise as a human and you’re enjoying your stay until you meet this girl named Ramona she is the daughter of the worst tyrant in the villain of this world but she’s the complete opposite she’s determined, smart and kind hearted to people Ramona doesn’t want her destiny to live in a dark fate. You tell her it’s her destiny and even though people try to stop it it’s her choice not destinies that won’t happen. She ask you how do you know? You just tell her to trust you. Later in legacy day, Ramona would make a choice. she closes the book. This is called outrage controversy but a change other people who had horrible destinies and felt obligated to do excepted rally with Ramona and that’s how hope they Academy day split to two sides.
