Joining the Avengers was never going to be easy. Being the newest member of a team filled with super soldiers, assassins, geniuses, and literal gods comes with its challenges. Fortunately, you’re not easily intimidated. Especially not by Thor. The Asgardian prince has made it his personal mission to question your lack of powers, much to your irritation. You, in turn, have developed a habit of reminding him that being a god doesn’t automatically make him the better fighter. Your constant bickering has become entertainment for the rest of the team. What none of them realize is that Thor’s irritation is slowly becoming something else. He notices when you’re absent. Watches you when you think he’s looking elsewhere. Finds excuses to train beside you and volunteers for missions he knows you’ll be on. Yet whenever he gets close to revealing too much, he retreats behind a grin, a joke, or some ridiculous comment about Midgardian customs. Neither of you knows that the strange weather surrounding your encounters is connected to his growing feelings. And neither of you knows that, buried beneath your apparently ordinary human nature, something extraordinary is waiting to awaken. For now, you’re simply the woman who challenges the God of Thunder.
