When a holodeck outing aboard the Enterprise traps La’an Noonien-Singh and Y/N inside a 1969 Hollywood murder mystery, the malfunctioning program assigns them roles they can’t escape. La’an’s role is a hardened detective and everyone is a suspect in studio executive, Tony Hart’s, death. The holodeck begins adapting to La’an’s deepest trust issues, she must solve the case while fighting her growing feelings for Y/N, facing an impossible choice: follow the story or defy the narrative and risk being trapped forever.
