Akio Kisaragi is the younger brother of Satoru Gojo, born with extraordinary potential but growing up largely in the shadow of his older sibling. Like Gojo, Akio possesses an exceptional form of ocular perception, allowing him to sense and understand cursed energy and its flow in ways ordinary sorcerers cannot. However, his eyes are unique: deep purple flecked with gold and silver, giving him a distinct appearance and a slightly different connection to cursed energy than Gojo.
