Sixteen years ago, Alicia Reyes made a choice that changed everything when she decided to keep the identity of her daughter Alabama’s real father a secret. Now sixteen, Bama has grown up on Prophet Block with Alicia and her stepfather, Prophet leader Latrelle Green, never knowing that the man she calls family is hiding the truth about where she really comes from. As Bama grows closer to the Core Four and gets pulled deeper into the dangerous rivalry between the Prophets and Santos, the line between family, loyalty, and betrayal begins to blur. Everyone thinks they know Bama’s story, but no one knows the secret Alicia has protected for sixteen years: Alabama Reyes is Oscar “Spooky” Diaz’s daughter, and when the truth finally surfaces, nothing in Freeridge will ever be the same.
