Starkwell University is the kind of college where money talks. The campus is luxurious, tuition is ridiculously expensive, and most students come from wealthy, influential families. The Avengers are no exception. Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes, Natasha Romanoff, Thor Odinson, Bruce Banner, Clint Barton, Wanda Maximoff, Sam Wilson, Peter Parker, T’Challa, Scott Lang, and Rhodey all attend the prestigious university thanks to their families’ wealth and connections. Then there’s Y/N. Y/N didn’t get in because of money, connections, or a famous last name. They earned their place through their grades—and their scholarship comes with one terrifying requirement: Maintain a 4.25 GPA. If their grades drop below that, they lose their scholarship. And without it, Y/N can’t afford to stay. So while everyone else is enjoying college life, Y/N is constantly studying, finishing assignments, attending lectures, and spending hours in the library. After paying rent and school expenses, there’s barely anything left for food. Ramen. SpaghettiOs. Cheap cereal. That’s dinner most nights. The Avengers don’t understand it at first. To them, grabbing expensive food after class is normal. Buying new textbooks without checking the price is normal. Going home for break without worrying about rent is normal. But slowly, they begin noticing Y/N’s habits. The exhaustion. The untouched dining-hall meals. The same worn-out backpack. The way Y/N always says they’re “fine.” And eventually, they start realizing that Y/N isn’t just the quiet student who’s always studying. They’re someone desperately trying to hold onto the only opportunity they’ve ever been given.
