The Percy Jackson cast · Y/n story by @carlgrimesgf

The lights were hot, the kind that made you forget how cold it was outside the studio. A line of black chairs sat in a semi-circle, each one labeled with a laminated name card, and behind them, a backdrop of Camp Half-Blood's pine forest and Big House loomed in glossy, larger-than-life color.

—and I swear, if you watch the BTS, the sword actually went flying into the lake. The prop guy just stood there, like—

Leah Sava Jeffries

crossing her legs and rolling her eyes You always tell that story.

Walker Scobell

Because it's a good story, Sava. It's got action, it's got drama—

Aryan Simhadri

It's got you misjudging the angle again.

Walker Scobell

Hey! I had the sun in my eyes.

Leah Sava Jeffries

It was overcast that day.

Dior Goodjohn, seated at the end of the row, let out a sharp laugh. Beside her, Charlie Bushnell was leaned forward, elbows on his knees, listening with that easy, relaxed grin. Tamara Smart sat next to Charlie, her hair pulled back in a neat ponytail, a quiet smile playing at her lips. Josephine Reitman was tucked between Aryan and Connor James, who was busy adjusting the label on the back of his seat.

Aryan Simhadri

The sun. In a British forecast.

Walker Scobell

points at Aryan Don't start with me, Underwood. I know your secret, too.

Charlie Bushnell

snorts What, that he's secretly the smartest one here?

The studio assistant, a woman with a clipboard and a stressed smile, stepped into frame and cleared her throat.

Studio Assistant

Okay, everyone. We're live in sixty seconds. We're going to start with a quick question about the new cast addition, Taraji, since she couldn't make it today. Then we'll open it up to fan questions. Sound good?

Walker's eyes lit up. He shot a look across the chairs at Leah, then Dior.

Walker Scobell

Oh, this is gonna be good. You know they're gonna ask about the spit take.

Dior Goodjohn

grinning That was one time.

Walker Scobell

One time she drenched you in water, and you screamed like a dying cat.

Dior Goodjohn

I did not scream. I made a noise of surprise.

Leah Sava Jeffries

The camera caught it, Dior.

Dior Goodjohn

The camera caught a reaction.

The studio assistant counted down with her fingers. Three. Two. One.

Studio Assistant

And we're live.

The red light on the camera blinked on. The host, a woman with sharp bangs and a practiced smile, turned toward them from her own chair.

Host

Alright, we've got the full cast of Percy Jackson and the Olympians here today—minus Taraji P. Henson, who's off doing Disney Channel things. So tell me, what's it like having her join the cast? What's she like on set?

Walker Scobell

leaning into his mic, grinning I mean, I was scared of her for the first week. Obviously.

Leah Sava Jeffries

snorting Don't let him fool you. He asked her for a picture within the first five minutes.
