years of constant pressure, messy breakups, constant failures, had brought y/n to this. working as a barista hardy making minimum wage to try and keep her shitty apartment. her life was boring, dull, and constantly filled with the fear of not making enough to afford what she needed. her parents don’t talk to her anymore and the only friend she has is her best friend who works with her at the coffee shop. she hadnt dated in years, especially because every single time she did it always ended messily. she had just completely given up on the thought. then enters Patrick Jacobs. just moved after college to the little town y/n now resides in. there are two parts of the town: the wealthy side and the poor side. y/n was on the poor side, filled with crappy houses and even crappier people. the rich side hosted the complete opposite: millionaires. sometimes even billionaires. that was where the ende Patrick Jacobs resided. born middle class, he studied his ass off in school and managed to secure a CEO job at only 22 years old. there were shops on either side, none in the middle. it was common sense that the poor was stick with the poor shops and the rich was stick to the rich side shops, but Patrick didnt know that. or, maybe he did and decided to break the social boundaries anyway. y/n works in a coffee shop on the poor side. probably the best one on the side, but no where near as good as the ones in the rich side. but, one day, y/n finds herself meeting the newcomer and forcing herself to remember how she has given up on love. besides, she hated the rich part of town. everyone was snobby and self absorbed. but Patrick? he didn’t act anything like them
