The late afternoon sun slanted low over the terraced stone walkways of Tokyo Jujutsu High, casting long shadows from the traditional wooden buildings. The air was still, heavy with the quiet of a Friday evening. Training fields lay empty, the usual sounds of cursed energy clashes and shouted instructions absent for once.

He stopped before a two-story building with a worn wooden exterior. From an open window on the upper floor, you could hear the faint sound of music and laughter.

He handed you a simple metal key, gave one final nod, and turned to leave, his broad back disappearing down the path. You were alone at the foot of the dormitory steps. Above, the laughter grew louder, punctuated by a voice that was distinctly, arrogantly cheerful.
