Ethan was the son of a wealthy fisherman, Davis Blackwell, one day his father brought home a boy with tan skin, green eyes, and curly blonde hair, that boy was named Nathan and soon given the surname Blackwell. The two boys immediately became friends despite Nathan being a merman and being more girly than boyish.
