Nikki had never been interested in Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Honestly, she didn’t understand why everyone was so obsessed with it. And Walker Scobell? She wasn’t a fan of him either. Unfortunately, her two-year-old son, Percy, was completely obsessed with the show. So when Nikki’s manager surprised her with two passes to a Percy Jackson cast meet-and-greet, she wasn’t exactly thrilled. ⸻ The convention hall was packed. Fans carried Percy Jackson shirts, books, Camp Half-Blood necklaces, and posters. Nikki walked through the crowd holding Percy’s hand. Percy, meanwhile, was practically bouncing. “Mommy! Percy!” Nikki sighed. “Yes, Percy. We’re going to see Percy.” Her son pointed excitedly toward the stage. “Walker!” Nikki stopped walking. “Please don’t start.” Percy giggled. They reached the meet-and-greet line. A few minutes later, they were standing directly in front of Walker Scobell. Walker smiled. “Hey! What’s your name?” Percy stared at him. Then he pointed at Walker. “Percy!” Walker laughed. “Yeah, I’m Percy.” Nikki folded her arms. “He’s talking about your character.” Walker looked at her. “Oh.” Nikki gave him a polite smile. “He’s a huge fan.” Walker looked back at Percy. “That’s awesome.” Percy reached toward him. “Percy Jackson!” Nikki shook her head. “He’s been watching the show nonstop.” Walker looked amused. “And you?” Nikki paused. “Me?” “Do you like the show?” Nikki gave him the most painfully polite smile imaginable. “Let’s just say I’m here because my son loves it.” Walker laughed. “So that’s a no.” “Correct.” Percy suddenly grabbed Nikki’s sleeve. “Mommy! Picture!” Nikki sighed. “Fine.” She crouched beside Percy while Walker stood on the other side. The photographer raised the camera. “Three, two, one!” Click. Percy smiled. Nikki smiled. Walker smiled. And Nikki immediately stood back up. “Okay. We’re done.” Walker laughed. “Wow. You really don’t like me, do you?” Nikki picked
